Porsche Sportec, the Swiss Porsche specialist, has fashioned its SP580 from the Porsche 911 Turbo, drawing its name from the hot 580-horsepower engine in the tail. By optimizing the turbocharger, reprogramming the engine electronics and performing other feats of technical wizardry, Porsche Sportec provides more kick to the Porsche flat-6 in three stages.
The wildest state of tune features Porsche Sportec turbos and a high-performance stainless-steel exhaust system with high-flow catalytic converters and quad tailpipes. The twin-turbo six produces 580 hp and 564 pound-feet of torque, sufficient to propel this rocket from zero to 60 mph in less than 3.4 seconds, with a top speed of 210 mph. Chassis modifications include the fitting of progressive-rate springs, stiffer shocks and high-performance brakes. Sportec's aero body kit includes a front apron, rear apron and rear spoiler
