New Car : Lexus Announces Price Hikes for Some 2008 Models
Lexus has announced price increases on several of its 2008 models, including the ES 350, IS 250 and IS 350, and LS 460. The models go on sale in September. The 2008 LS 460, with no changes except one new exterior color, gets a $500 price hike. It will have a base price of $62,265, including a $765 destination charge.

The 2008 Lexus ES 350 gets restyled side mirrors and has a price increase of $250. The base price on the ES 350 is $34,485, including shipping. The 2008 IS 250 and 350 get minor changes, including a new finish on the standard 17-inch wheels and an additional coin holder. The IS lineup gets an across-the-board increase of $200. The base price for the IS 250 with a manual transmission is $31,220. The base price for the IS 350 will be $36,670.

The 2008 GX 470 gets bumped up $180 to $47,580. It receives minor styling upgrades, including a new dark metallic finish on the grille, chrome roof rack rails and two new colors.

The price on the SC 430 is unchanged at $66,220, including destination. The pricing on the 2008 RX 400h hybrid is unchanged and starts at $41,945 for the front-wheel-drive model.
