New Car Review : Citroen Unpeels C3 Pluriel Kiwi Special Edition

When Citroën rolled out its C3 Pluriel Kiwi special edition on Tuesday, it literally took the wraps off a green car. The convertible supermini's latest iteration is a traffic-stopping yellow/green metallic color.

It's not the first time an automaker has tinkered with a love-it-or-hate-it green paint job. Ford applied a similar lime green called Legend Lime to its latest version of the Mustang, although that color has since been retired from the palette lineup. Saab also used a striking lime yellow metallic on the 2004 9-3 convertible. Even Lexus has dipped a toe in the green paint bucket lately, with the addition of a subtle "desert sage" to its 2007 Lexus RX 350, which dealers say is among the least popular color choices with customers. The C3 Pluriel Kiwi is powered by a 75-horsepower 1.4i gas engine and includes a standard CD player, variable power-assisted steering and remote central locking. The Kiwi edition is on sale in Britain and Europe starting at the equivalent of U.S. $25,400.
