Two months ahead of its official September on-sale date, Nissan has released details on the all-new 2008 Rogue.
The compact-crossover sibling of the Murano was first unveiled in January at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show. Two trim levels will be offered, the Rogue S and the Rogue SL. Buyers can opt for front- or all-wheel drive. Aimed at the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, the Rogue is expected to be priced starting at less than $25,000.
The Rogue is equipped with a continuously variable transmission and a twincam 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 170 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque.
Among the Rogue's standard features are stability control, traction control, four-wheel disc brakes with antilock, side airbags, side curtains and active head restraints.
The option list includes 17-inch tires and alloy wheels, a smart key, power sliding glass moonroof, steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, Bose audio system and leather seats.
