First unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, the striking Diatto Ottovu (Italian for V8) concept is entering production, with a limited run of 99 cars planned.
With a lightweight aluminum body penned by Zagato, the Ottovu resurrects the Diatto badge. Diatto was famed as one of Italy's early coachbuilders and later, a builder of luxury motorcars.
The latter-day Diatto Ottovu is to be powered by a Ford 4.6-liter V8 tuned by Cosworth/Roush to produce a standard 530 horsepower, or 650 hp in optional trim. A six-speed manual gearbox will be fitted.
Diatto says the car will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds, with a top speed of more than 186 mph.
