Renault plans to unveil a two-place Twingo CC concept at the Frankfurt auto show in September, with production slated to begin in 2008.
The Twingo CC will join the Mégane CC in Renault's modest stable of small sporty cars. The Twingo CC will be one of the smallest and least expensive coupe/cabrios on the European market, with prices expected to start well under $20,000.
The Twingo CC concept features a 120-horsepower 1.1-liter four-cylinder engine. Renault also plans to offer a performance-oriented Twingo RS rated at 130 hp.
