Hamann starts with performance modifications, including remapped electronics, for each of the car's gasoline and diesel engines. The top six-cylinder model, the 335i, gets a boost of 37 horsepower, with top speed climbing from 155 to 173 mph. Hamann also fits a stainless-steel exhaust system with quad pipes.
Additional mechanical modifications include a suspension-lowering kit, with progressive struts that drop ride height by up to 1.4 inches. Performance brakes are adapted, and Hamann offers a range of alloy wheels in sizes up to 20 inches.
The aero body kit bundles a front spoiler, side sills, rear spoiler and rear fascia with cutouts for the tailpipes. The kit also includes black carbon-kevlar mirror caps.
The 3 Series cabin can be upgraded with such accessories as a three-spoke Hamann steering wheel, aluminum pedals and gearshift knob, and carbon-fiber trim. The usual range of electronic multimedia systems is also available.
