New Car Review Arden Believes Range Rovers Can Fly

New Car Review Arden Believes Range Rovers Can Fly
Jochen Arden's German firm has been tuning Jaguar cars for decades — and more recently has added Land Rovers as well. It was perhaps only a matter of time, but Arden now presents a Range Rover Sport tuning package with Lamborghini-style scissors doors.

The conversion includes a special door hinge and gas springs. The simple act of putting on the doors totally changes the character of the Range Rover Sport. The SUV looks meaner, too, because of its wider track to accommodate 23-inch rims, tough-looking front and rear spoilers, and new sills. Inside, high-quality leather comes from Arden's own saddlery.

Engine tuning is also available. For the gasoline version, it means boring out the 4.2 liter V8 to 4.5 liters and increasing its power to 480 horsepower, which results in a top speed of 168 mph.
