Novitec Tridente, the branch of the Novitec group that specializes in tuning Maseratis, has turned its hand to the Quattroporte. (Ferraris are tweaked by sister division Novitec Rosso.)
The Tridente operation has some new upgrades for the Quattroporte that are designed as further enhancement of the car's handling and performance.
The DOHC 4.2-liter V8 has been mildly massaged, with reprogrammed engine electronics boosting the redline to 7,800 rpm. A stainless-steel exhaust system improves exhaust flow. The result is a modest increase in output, from 400 to 413 horsepower, and in torque, from 332 to 345 pound-feet.
Novitec Tridente also has fitted an adjustable coil-over suspension system with upgraded dampers. The Novitec Quattroporte now rides on Pirelli P Zero performance tires (245/35R20 in front, 285/30R20 in the rear), mounted on Novitec NM1 20-inch alloy wheels.
